Three things that separate a leather good from a leather object

Most leather products are assembled. Ours are built — from the grain down to the stitch, from the hardware up to the silhouette. Here is where the difference lives.

The Grain01

The Grain

Full-grain means the top layer is intact — the strongest, most breathable part of the hide. We never correct, sand, or buff it away. The natural markings are proof the leather is real.

The Stitch02

The Stitch

Waxed linen thread, hand-fed through diamond-chiseled holes. A saddle stitch cannot unravel — if one stitch breaks, the rest hold. This is how leather was assembled before machines made it faster and worse.

The Hardware03

The Hardware

Solid brass and brushed nickel. No plating that chips, no Zamak that snaps. Our buckles, zips, and rivets are chosen to age alongside the leather — developing their own patina instead of flaking into obsolescence.

VALENTE workshop — hand-stitching a leather panel

The Process

Made where leather has been made for centuries

Our workshop sits in the Santa Croce quarter of Florence — the same district where tanneries have operated since the 14th century. The water from the Arno, the oak bark from the Casentinese forests, and the accumulated knowledge of five hundred years of leatherworkers are not romantic details. They are the conditions that make our leather what it is.

Each hide is vegetable-tanned for 28 to 40 days in pits. No chrome, no shortcuts. The tannery — Conceria Carlesi — has been running since 1960 and supplies the same full-grain cowhide to three houses in Florence. We are one of them.

Assurance

Built to last. Backed by us.

Single-Hide Cutting

Every panel on a VALENTE jacket comes from the same hide. Grain direction and color remain consistent across the entire piece.

Complimentary Shipping

All orders ship free with full tracking. Delivery within 3–5 business days across the EU. International orders arrive within 7–10 days.

30-Day Returns

Unworn items can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. We provide a prepaid return label. No restocking fees.

Two-Year Construction Guarantee

Stitching, hardware, and structural integrity are guaranteed for two years from purchase. If it fails under normal use, we repair or replace it.

Leather Care

Every VALENTE piece ships with a care card specifying the tanning method, finish type, and recommended conditioning schedule. Vegetable-tanned leather should be conditioned twice yearly with beeswax cream. Chrome-tanned leather requires lighter maintenance with a lanolin-based conditioner. Store all leather goods away from direct heat and sunlight.
