Exam from $65 Schedule checkupPortland's Fear-Free Certified veterinary hospital. Gentle handling, an in-house lab that returns bloodwork in minutes rather than days, and an estimate in your hand before anything is done.

From a first puppy visit to senior diagnostics and orthopaedic surgery, it happens here — no referral across town, no repeating your pet's story to a stranger.

Fear at the vet is not just unpleasant — a frightened animal is harder to examine accurately, so the medicine gets worse too. Everything below is standard, free, and never something you need to justify asking for.
Every piece of equipment here exists to shorten the gap between "something is wrong" and "here is the plan."
Full chemistry, CBC, electrolytes, and urinalysis run on site while you wait in the room.
High-resolution digital X-ray with images on screen in seconds and shareable straight to a specialist.
Abdominal and cardiac scanning for the questions radiographs cannot answer, with no sedation for most patients.
Full-mouth dental X-rays with every cleaning, because roughly 60% of painful dental disease sits below the gumline.
We rebuilt the veterinary visit around one question: what makes this stressful — for the pet and for you? Then we removed those things one at a time.
Pheromones, treats, non-slip surfaces, species-separate waiting, and the willingness to stop and rebook rather than force a frightened animal through it.
Bloodwork and diagnostics back in about twenty minutes, so treatment starts during the visit instead of after a phone call three days later.
A written estimate with a range, explained without jargon, handed to you before we proceed. If costs change mid-procedure, we call you first.
Our veterinarians are salaried and have no revenue targets attached to their recommendations — which is why we see so many second opinions.
Knowing the sequence in advance takes the edge off — for you, which your pet notices more than you would think.
No sitting in a lobby full of other animals. You are taken to an exam room within a couple of minutes of arriving.
A technician takes a full history while your pet settles and eats treats on the floor. Nothing clinical happens yet.
Nose-to-tail exam, usually on the floor rather than a table. Any bloodwork or imaging is run here while you wait.
Findings explained in plain language, a written estimate with a range, and a printed plan you take home.
Three veterinarians, all salaried rather than production-based, treating every patient the way they treat their own animals.
DVM · Medical Director
Twelve years in practice with a focus on complex internal medicine and low-stress feline handling. Built Willow Creek's Fear-Free protocol from the ground up.
DVM · Lead Surgeon
Meticulous surgical technique and a notably calm manner with anxious owners. Runs our dental service and insists on full-mouth radiographs with every cleaning.
DVM · Dermatology
Passionate about lifelong wellness and genuinely enjoys the puzzle of a stubborn allergy case. Her puppy and kitten visits are the highlight of most owners' week.
Everything is quoted in writing before it happens. Our wellness plans spread routine care across the year at a discount.
A full first appointment for pets joining the practice.
Routine care for one adult pet, spread monthly.
The whole first year, from first shots to spay or neuter.
We offer interest-free financing through CareCredit and Scratchpay on treatment over $300, with a soft credit check and a decision in about a minute. We also complete insurance claim forms in-house for Trupanion, Nationwide, Healthy Paws, and Lemonade so you are not chasing paperwork while your pet recovers.
4.9 stars across 580+ reviews. These three explain the pattern behind them.
My rescue dog Luna used to shake violently at the vet. The team sat on the floor with her, went at her pace, and fed her cheese for twenty minutes. She now pulls me toward the door to get inside. The medicine is excellent, but that patience is the thing. From trembling to pulling at the door
When our senior cat stopped eating we were genuinely frightened. Dr. Jenkins ran bloodwork in-house and had answers before we left the building. She explained kidney values to us twice without ever making us feel slow.Diagnosis same visit, not same week
Two goldens means two of everything, and the wellness plan has saved us a genuinely surprising amount. The written estimate before the dental matched the final bill to the dollar, which after our last practice felt almost startling.Estimate matched the invoice exactly
Routine wellness check or an urgent sick visit — tell us about your pet and our front desk calls you back within one business hour.
For severe trauma, difficulty breathing, seizures, bloating, or sudden collapse, do not use this form — call us immediately at (503) 555-0199.
Thank you. Our front desk is reviewing your request and will call within one business hour to confirm your appointment time.
Yes, warmly. We recommend booking a New Client Wellness Visit so the doctor has enough time to review your pet's full history and perform a proper nose-to-tail examination without rushing. Send us your previous practice's details when you book and we will request the records on your behalf rather than leaving that to you.
Then tell us when you book and we will plan around it. As a Fear-Free Certified practice we use calming pheromones, non-slip surfaces, species-separate waiting areas, and a great deal of food. For genuinely fearful patients we prescribe pre-visit gabapentin or trazodone to give at home, which changes the experience completely. And if your pet escalates during a visit, we stop and rebook rather than restraining through it.
We accept emergencies during business hours, Monday to Saturday 8am to 6pm. Call (503) 555-0199 on your way so we can prepare for your arrival and have a room and a team ready. Outside those hours our answering service will direct you straight to the nearest 24-hour emergency facility — do not wait for us to open if something is seriously wrong.
Yes. We keep a fully stocked in-house pharmacy for anything urgent, plus an integrated online pharmacy with auto-ship for heartworm and flea preventatives, chronic medications, and prescription diets delivered to your door. Prices are matched to the major online retailers, so there is no reason to source your pet's medication from somewhere we cannot verify.
A wellness exam starts at $65 and a same-day sick visit at $95. Anything beyond the exam — bloodwork, imaging, dentistry, surgery — is quoted in writing as a range before we proceed, and if something changes mid-procedure we call you before continuing. Our wellness plans spread routine care across the year at $49 a month for adults and $59 for the first year of a puppy or kitten.
Most pet insurance is a reimbursement model, so you pay us and claim it back. We complete the claim forms in-house for Trupanion, Nationwide, Healthy Paws, and Lemonade and submit them directly, which removes the part owners find most tedious. Trupanion also supports direct payment at checkout, and we are set up for it.
Yes, and we would prefer you did. Owners are welcome in the room for every examination and for most minor procedures like blood draws and vaccinations. The only time we ask you to step out is when your presence is genuinely making your pet more anxious, which does happen occasionally — and we will explain why rather than just asking you to leave.
Yes — rabbits, guinea pigs, ferrets, birds, and reptiles, on scheduled exotics days rather than in general appointments. Please tell us the species when you book so we allocate the right doctor and the right length of appointment. Some very specialised species we will refer on, and we will tell you that on the phone rather than after you have driven in.
