This is not a hotel that could be anywhere. Every material, view and detail is rooted in this coast — from the hand-finished plaster in your room to the Atlantic light that fills the terrace each evening.

Wake to the sound of the Atlantic. A private terrace with unobstructed ocean views, a handcrafted king bed, and a bathroom finished in local limestone. This is the room guests return to.

Seasonal Algarve cuisine, simply prepared. Local fish, regional cheese and herbs from the garden — all served with an unobstructed view of the coast.

Getting here
MAERI sits above Praia da Marinha — consistently rated among Europe’s most beautiful beaches. The cliff path from our gate is a twelve-minute walk to the sand.
Faro Airport is 45 minutes by car. We arrange private transfers on request, or you can rent a car and explore the Algarve at your own pace. There is free parking on site.
Practical info
The things guests ask us before they book. If yours isn’t here, call or write — a person answers.
Check-in is from 15:00 and check-out is by 11:00. If you arrive earlier we will hold your luggage and you are welcome to use the terrace, pool and restaurant while your room is prepared.
Direct guests can request late check-out until 13:00 at no charge, subject to availability on the day.
Direct bookings can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before your arrival date. Inside 48 hours we charge the first night.
No deposit is taken when you enquire — we only confirm a card once your dates and room are agreed.
Faro Airport is roughly 45 minutes by car. We arrange private transfers for €75 each way for up to three passengers — add it to your booking and we will meet you in arrivals.
If you prefer to drive, all major rental desks are in the terminal and there is free parking on site. Taxis and rideshare from the airport cost around €60–70.
Breakfast is included for every direct booking, served on the terrace from 08:00 to 10:30. It is a seasonal table rather than a buffet: fruit and cheese from the region, bread baked that morning, eggs cooked to order, and fish when the boats have had a good night.
Guests booking through a platform can add breakfast for €13 per person per day.
Children over twelve are welcome. The property sits on a working cliff edge with unfenced terraces and a deep pool, so we do not accommodate younger guests — we would rather be honest about that than have a family arrive to a place that does not suit them.
The Garden Room takes an extra bed for €45 per night.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Garden Room and Coastline Studio for €20 per night, which covers a bed, bowls and a towel for the coastal path.
Dogs are not permitted in the restaurant, the pool area, or the Horizon Suite. Please tell us at the time of booking so we can allocate the right room.
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay, Google Pay and MB Way. Bank transfer is available for stays of five nights or more.
Rates are quoted in euros and include Portuguese VAT. Municipal tourist tax of €2 per adult per night, capped at seven nights, is collected at check-out.
Booking platforms take 15–25% of the room rate. Booking with us removes that cost, and we hand the saving back as a 15% lower rate plus breakfast, upgrade priority, late check-out, a welcome tasting and free cancellation to 48 hours.
It also means you are talking to the people who will actually be there when you arrive — dietary needs, transfers and special occasions reach us directly rather than through a third-party inbox.
